ATI AT6000 vs AT54X NC
ATI’s large linear reference platform and its compact high-output NCore platform prioritise different combinations of channel count, load behaviour and rack efficiency.
AT6000 Series
Pure Balanced Class AB architecture, configurable from two to seven channels, with published output of 300 W/8Ω or 450 W/4Ω with all channels driven. It suits reference beds that need equal sustained output across several channels.
AT54X NC Series
Balanced-bridged Hypex NCore Class D architecture, configurable from one to four channels and offering up to 500 W per channel. It suits high-power LCR duties where efficiency and compact channel count matter.
Choose according to channel duty
Choose AT6000 when a large bank of equally powerful Class AB channels and proven all-channel output are the priority. Choose an exact AT541–AT544 configuration when one to four difficult channels need high power without the heat and mass of a larger linear chassis.
Installation implications
The AT6000 needs substantial rack support, airflow and mains planning. The bridged NCore modules in AT54X require careful impedance matching; confirm the exact loudspeaker load and model suffix rather than specifying only the series name.
